Principles of Garphic Design.


The picture above is a great example of balance using horizontal symmetry. The image is evenly distributed, with the models, since they are the same size. Also this photograph is a great example of flowing rhythm, going left. First the model on the left had her arm out pointing the the left direction, which leads your eyes to the next model who is facing down and to the left where the purses are. This picture just takes your eyes from one position to the next, it's a great example of symmetry and flowing rhythm.


This photo is a great use of symmetry. The dog standing up and the girl squating down, makes them almost even but not quite. So therefore it is also a great example of proportion. Also, the dog and the girl represent dominance and unity. They give the photograph a sense of togetherness, while the street and buildings just fade into the background.
